Chicory Meadow Farm is proud to offer our 21st annual season of Summer Riding Camp. This is a terrific way for your child to spend time outside in a farm setting, learning all about horses and ponies. Your child will be immersed in a child-based hands-on horsemanship program that teaches students age-appropriate aspects of horse care and riding. Our summer camp program is designed to foster a healthy respect for horses that in turn will create a better understanding of and relationship with our horses.

Camper will learn how to correctly:

• catch, lead and handle their ponies

• groom and tack their ponies

• ride their ponies - bareback too!

• care for their ponies after hard work

• clean and put away their tack

Campers will also learn general horse knowledge like:

• feeding horses hay and grain

• cleaning up after horses

• first aid treatments  for horses

• bathing and clipping of horses

• coloring, markings and breeds

​

Additional Activities include:

​Arts and crafts, picnics, games and informative nature walks

​

CMF's summer camp runs in weekly sessions starting June 30th through August 15th. Camp will start at 9:00am and finish at 1:00pm Monday through Friday. Cost is $495 per week. Please reach out to register your child for camp.
